Rep. Loudermilk Scores 100% for Supporting American Energy Production

Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-GA) issued the following statement after he was named an ‘American Energy Champion’ for his voting record of 100% during the 117th Congress by the American Energy Alliance:

“For the past two years, President Biden and the Democrat-controlled Congress have invested trillions of taxpayer dollars in Green New Deal and ESG policies, while placing onerous regulations on oil and gas companies -- resulting in the highest energy prices we’ve seen in decades. This has hurt hardworking Americans the most because high energy prices affect every sector of our economy, and have contributed to 40-year high inflation.

“Republicans will continue to support common sense energy policies; and, our Commitment To America promises that once we take the majority next Congress, we will pass legislation to boost American energy production and push the Biden administration to end its freeze on all new oil and gas projects, fast-track pending LNG export permits, expedite approval of all pipeline and energy development, and stop the regulatory assault on U.S. energy development financing. I thank the American Energy Alliance for holding lawmakers accountable.”

Scores were based on votes and co-sponsorships, during the 117th Congress, of legislation that affects energy and environmental policy.
