Marietta Daily Journal:

The Horace Orr Post 29 of the American Legion in Marietta recently honored two veterans at its monthly meeting.

Cmdr. Walt Cusick of the American Legion Post 29 presented Congressman Barry Loudermilk of Cartersville and Fox 5 TV personality and political consultant Phil Kent with service awards for supporting the American Legion's Veterans Outreach Programs.

Cusick praised Loudermilk, an Air Force veteran, and his staff for helping resolve challenges veterans encountered navigating Department of Veterans Affairs. Loudermilk previously spoke at the 100th anniversary of Post 29 in 2019 and was a keynote speaker at the Veterans Memorial 5k and Military Appreciation event.

Cusick noted that Kent, who is a Post 29 member, Army veteran, host of the Fox 5 “Georgia Gang” and political consultant, has for years championed veterans' causes in both word and deed. Kent has also been an active member of the Legion, in addition to serving as a committee member of the Veterans Memorial 5k and Military Appreciation. READ MORE
