Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-GA) issued the following statement after he was sanctioned by Russia for supporting Ukraine:

“Being sanctioned by Russia only reaffirms and galvanizes my support for Ukraine as they continue to defend their country from an unprovoked and unjust invasion. I have supported every military aid funding package that has come through Congress, and urge the Biden administration go even further and provide Ukraine with the MiGs they have been asking for. I also call on President Biden to be consistent in his condemnation of Russia and Vladimir Putin. President Biden has called Putin a war criminal and said he’s committing acts of genocide, which is true, but he’s still using Russia to help renegotiate the terrible nuclear deal with Iran. This is the type of weak leadership Putin preys upon and will continue to exploit at the expense of innocent civilians in Ukraine.”
