Today, Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-GA), along with Rep. Nikema Williams (D-GA) and the entire Georgia Congressional delegation, introduced a resolution in the House of Representatives congratulating the Atlanta Braves for winning the 2021 Major League Baseball World Series and honoring the life of Hank Aaron. Senator Jon Ossoff (D-GA) introduced the same resolution in the United States Senate.

“After Major League Baseball removed the 2021 All Star Game and MLB Draft from Georgia, the Atlanta Braves went on to win the National League Championship, bringing the World Series to Truist Park. On Tuesday night, the Braves succeeded in bringing the MLB Championship trophy back to Georgia," stated Congressman Barry Loudermilk. "It’s been 26 years since the Braves last won the World Series, but their determination in overcoming the odds, and their perseverance through injuries and other setbacks, is an inspiration to us all. Georgians and Atlanta Braves fans around the world could not be prouder…chop on!”

“I remember exactly where I was in 1995 when the Braves last won the World Series,"stated Senator Jon Ossoff (D-GA). "Likewise, I’ll never forget where I was last night as our team brought home another world championship. Congratulations to the players and entire organization. Georgia is proud.”
