11th Congressional District Art Competition Winners Announced

Rep. Loudermilk (R-GA) announced the 2019 Art Competition winners for Georgia’s 11th Congressional District at the Woodstock Public Library in Woodstock, Georgia. Rachel Liu, who attends The Westminster Schools, won First Place for her entry entitled, “Back to My Roots: A Grandfather’s Gaze.”

“The Congressional Art Competition is a great opportunity for students from across Georgia’s 11th Congressional District to compete to have their artwork displayed in the U.S. Capitol. The artwork I saw at the Woodstock Library this year was nothing short of incredible, which is no surprise because each of the finalists were excellent students. I want to thank the twelve schools who participated from across the district, and the dozens of students who made this year’s competition one of the best.”

In the 2019 competition, a total of forty-one entries were submitted from twelve schools across Georgia’s 11th Congressional District. The winning artwork was determined by the “People’s Choice” ballot box, which allowed constituents from GA-11 to vote on their favorite piece of artwork on display.
