"On March 20 Dr. Michael Lewis, pastor of Roswell Street Baptist Church in Marietta, opened the U.S. House of Representatives in prayer.

The invitation for Lewis to pray was extended through Barry Loudermilk, who serves in the Congress as the Representative from Georgia’s 11th District.

Speaker of the House Paul Ryan introduced Lewis and following the prayer called upon Illinois Representative Brad Schneider to lead in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. After the Pledge of Allegiance, Speaker Ryan recognized Representative Loudermilk, who provided a brief biographical sketch of Lewis to be included in the Congressional Record." READ MORE
