Rep. Loudermilk on Passage of Secure America Act
Washington, D.C. (June 9, 2026) | Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-GA) issued the following statement following the U.S. House vote on S.2 –the Secure America Act.
“Securing our nation’s borders and protecting the American people are among the federal government’s most fundamental responsibilities. The passage of the Secure America Act is a significant step toward strengthening our national security, restoring the rule of law, and providing law enforcement with the tools needed to combat illegal immigration and transnational criminal activity.
“For too long, our federal immigration enforcement agencies have been asked to carry out their missions without the resources and certainty they deserve, due to partisan politics. This legislation ensures our frontline personnel have the support they need to continue to protect America’s communities and uphold the rule of law.”
