Rep. Loudermilk Co-Sponsored the Following Legislation and Signed On To an Official Letter

H.J.Res.127 – Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States relating to parental rights. Rep. Mary Miller (R-IL)

• H.J.Res. 127 proposes a constitutional amendment establishing the right of parents to direct the upbringing, education, and care of their children as a fundamental right.

• The amendment explicitly protects a parent’s ability to choose private, religious, or home schooling as alternatives to public education.

• The resolution also protects the right of parents to make reasonable educational decisions for their child within public schools.

H.R.8213 – Defending Women in the Workplace Act, Education and Workforce. Rep. Sheri Biggs (R-SC)

• Amends Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

• Clarifies that “sex” in federal workplace discrimination law refers to biological sex only.

• States that “because of sex” does not include gender identity in employment discrimination cases.

H.R.8028 – SNAP Fraud Reporting Act of 2026. Rep. David J. Taylor (R-OH)

• Requires states to collect and submit data on SNAP fraud that has occurred over the past five fiscal years to United States Department of Agriculture within 180 days of enactment.

• The information includes things like fraud investigation, cases, enforcement actions, and improper benefit use.

Congressman Loudermilk has signed on to a letter to the United States Trade Representative (USTR) Ambassador Jamieson Greer regarding specialty crop industry concerns on imports from Mexico. The letter ask USTR to heed the concerns of specialty crop farmers and growers in the ongoing renegotiation of the U.S.-Mexico-Canada (USMCA) Trade Agreement.
