H.R. 2192, The Air America Act of 2025
– Air America was a unique operation managed under a cloud of secrecy that resulted in missteps with respect to the compensation of its employees.
– The Air America Act corrects for these missteps and recognizes the essential role Air America played in CIA and DOD operations throughout the Cold War.
– The bill provides U.S.-citizen Air Americans with compensation to be administered by the Director of the CIA in light of the fact that the secrecy of their operations did not allow Air Americans to be properly compensated for their sacrifice and service to the U.S. Government between 1950 and 1976.
