House Republicans and the president are committed to securing our southern border, as well as negotiating with Democrats on an acceptable compromise. It is unfortunate that my colleagues on the other side of the aisle continue to ignore the severity of the situation and deny the need for a barrier at our border. It is on the shoulders of us, in Congress, to reach an agreement that funds border security to the level that our experts have recommended, which includes a physical barrier.”
