Rep. Loudermilk Announces Service Academy Appointees

Washington D.C. (June 2, 2015) | Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-GA) today announced that 15 students from Georgia’s 11th Congressional District have received appointments to attend a U.S. military service academy.

“The 2015 service academy appointees from the 11th Congressional District are among our state’s best and brightest students, and I am extremely proud of each and every student for their desire to serve their country and fellow Americans,” said Rep. Loudermilk. “These students have all shown a high-level of leadership and academic excellence, and will represent the State of Georgia and the 11th District well.”

Each year, students from across the nation receive nominations from members of Congress to attend U.S. service academies. All appointees are awarded a full four-year scholarship, which includes tuition, housing, and books.
