“Impeachment is not what Congress should be focused on, according to Rep. Barry Loudermilk, R-Ga., on Newsmax TV.
Proceedings begin Tuesday on the Senate trial of former President Donald Trump, who was impeached by the House for inciting protesters to riot the Capitol on Jan. 6.
‘It is a waste of time and there’s a lot of [other] things we should be working on in Congress right now,’ Loudermilk told host Grant Stinchfield on Monday’s ‘Stinchfield.’ ‘But we’re caught up in the theatrics. They just want to kick Donald Trump; they just want to embarrass conservatives. This is all about promoting a far left, socialist agenda.’
