U.S. Congressman Barry Loudermilk
 
  Rep. Barry Loudermilk attended the change of command ceremony at the Clay National Guard Center in Marietta this week.

Maj. Gen. Joe Jarrard turned over command to Maj. Gen. Thomas Carden. This ceremony included the transfer of the Georgia Department of Defense colors and a 13-gun salute fired by the 1st Battalion 118th Field Artillery Regiment. Maj. Gen. Carden will oversee the Georgia Army National Guard, Georgia Air National Guard, and the Georgia State Defense Force.

  From the AJC:

"U.S. Rep. Barry Loudermilk, R-Cassville, was focused this week on a location much closer to home. We’re told the Republican purchased breakfast and lunch for Transportation Security Administration agents at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport on Monday, the first weekday after the government reopened. On the menu: Chick-fil-A biscuits and Domino’s pizza. The agents had been forced to work without pay during the 35-day shutdown."
