In the News: Rep. Loudermilk questions Capitol Police Inspector General about who oversees Capitol Hill Security and the answer is shocking
  CNN:

"Months after the deadly insurrection at the US Capitol, Rep. Barry Loudermilk, a Republican from Georgia, made clear that confusion remains over who ultimately oversees Capitol Hill security.

During a hearing in front of the House Administration Committee on Thursday, Loudermilk asked the United States Capitol Police Inspector General Michael Bolton who has oversight of the Capitol Police Board, the panel to which the Capitol Police chief reports.

'I do not know that, sir,' Bolton replied. He added that reviewing the Capitol Police Board is not under his purview."

In the News: Republican Congressman hit with $15,000 in metal detector fines while Rep. Loudermilk says Pelosi is held to a different standard

  The Daily Caller:

"The House Ethics Committee upheld two fines Monday against Republican Georgia Rep. Andrew Clyde, worth a total of up to $15,000, for bypassing metal detectors before walking on the floor.

The House installed magnetometers in early January and requires all members of Congress to walk through them before entering the House of Representatives chamber after rioters supporting Trump stormed the U.S. capitol, committing acts of vandalism and violence. Clyde did not deny breaking the rules in a Monday statement, but criticized Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi for implementing the rule, saying it is unconstitutional and that he will be challenging the resolution.

"Republican Reps. Rodney Davis, Barry Loudermilk, and Bryan Steil sent the letter to the Blodgett, demanding Pelosi pay $5,000 for breaking House rules she put into place."
