Press Release: Rep. Loudermilk & Republicans Demand Federal Investigation into Disturbing Reports of Partial-Birth Abortions Being Performed at a D.C. Clinic
Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-GA) issued the following statement after he signed a letter led by Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) and Rep. Christopher Smith (R-NJ) to Attorney General Merrick Garland, urging the Department of Justice to investigate reports of the Washington Surgi-Clinic performing partial birth abortions, which are illegal under federal law.
“As a defender of the unborn, and a pro-life advocate, I’m well-versed in how inhumane abortions are; but the details surrounding how these babies were aborted are so grotesque, it’s hard to put into words just how barbaric they appear. This is not how God envisioned mankind treating one another, especially when it comes to the most vulnerable among us. The condition in which these babies were found at this clinic, demands a full investigation by the Department of Justice.”

Inflation accelerated to a new four-decade high in March as supply chain constraints, the Russian war in Ukraine and strong consumer demand fueled rapid price gains that wiped out the benefits of rising wages for most Americans.
The Labor Department said Tuesday that the consumer price index – which measures a bevy of goods including gasoline, health care, groceries and rents – rose 8.5% in March from a year ago, the fastest pace since December 1981, when inflation hit 8.9%.
