  Marietta Daily Journal:

MARIETTA — Amid the clink of silverware and the din of patrons chattering during their lunch break, U.S. House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy blamed President Joe Biden for Major League Baseball’s decision to move the All-Star Game from Georgia during an appearance at the Marietta Diner Tuesday.

Major League Baseball cited the bill, which Biden called “Jim Crow on steroids,” when announcing its decision to move the Midsummer Classic from Cobb County’s Truist Park. The bill was passed along party lines, with no Democratic support. MLB later said the game would be played at Denver’s Coors Field.

  In the News: Rep. Loudermilk, GOP request hearing on Capitol Police Board for first time in 76 years
 
  Washington Examiner:

The Republican arm of the House Administration Committee is urging their panel to conduct oversight hearings over the three-person Capitol Police Board following the deadly Jan. 6 riot, which would be the first time the entire Board appears before Congress since 1945.

United States Capitol Police Inspector General Michael Bolton revealed in an April 20 hearing there "is virtually no oversight of the board," which oversees the United States Capitol Police, the Republicans said on Monday.

  Rep. Loudermilk Joins Letter to FBI Director Wray Regarding 2017 Congressional Baseball Shooting  
  Rep. Loudermilk recently joined the following letterS:

Letter asking for a review into the FBI’s findings that the 2017 Congressional baseball field shooting was “suicide by cop” (Rep. Wenstrup, R-OH)

• This would include, but not limited to, interviewing all witnesses, update conclusions, and release the findings. The letter also requests an internal investigation into how the FBI reached the conclusion of “suicide by cop” and who was included in that process. To read letter, CLICK HERE
