Rep. Loudermilk Sponsors Legislation to Help Veterans, Expand Broadband Access, and Amicus Brief on 2nd Amendment
|
Rep. Loudermilk recently cosponsored the following legislation and supported a letter to the FCC and an amicus brief:
The RECORDS Act Rep. Keller (R-PA)
Would instruct the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), who oversees the NPRC, to reopen to pre-pandemic levels within 30 days, require a plan be sent to Congress on how they would address the backlog of 500,000+ items, and require them to report quarterly on its progress
Letter to FCC by Rep. Allen (R-GA)
Addresses the outdated maps the FCC uses to determine local eligibility for broadband grants
Amicus Brief in NYSRFA v. Corlett by Rep. Tenney (R-NY)
Several states require concealed carry permit applicants to provide justification for their permit and allow local and state authorities to reject applications for insufficient justification. NRA determines this to be an unconstitutional blocking of second amendment rights outside the home
