  Rep. Loudermilk In the News: McCarthy Faces Headaches From Far-Right House GOP
 
  The Hill:

"It’s a tough position. This isn’t about herding cats. Everybody is a Type-A personality to get here, so it’s like herding ravenous lions,” said Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-Ga.), explaining McCarthy’s challenge.

“It’s a thankless job to be in that position, it’s nothing I would ever want to do,” Loudermilk added, “but you have to find that balance.”

“We have to be unified. The only people that could keep us from winning the majority right now is us,” Loudermilk said.

  In the News: Job Growth Disappoints in November, wWith a Gain of Just 210,000, Despite High Hopes
 
  CNBC:

The U.S. economy created far fewer jobs than expected in November, in a sign that hiring started to slow even ahead of the new Covid threat, the Labor Department reported Friday.

Nonfarm payrolls increased by just 210,000 for the month, though the unemployment rate fell sharply to 4.2% from 4.6%, even though the labor force participation rate increased for the month to 61.8%, its highest level since March 2020.

  In the News: Courts Block Two Biden Administration COVID Vaccine Mandates
 
  Reuters:

The Biden administration was blocked on Tuesday from enforcing two mandates requiring millions of American workers to get vaccinated against COVID-19, a key part of its strategy for controlling the spread of the coronavirus.

U.S. District Judge Terry Doughty in Monroe, Louisiana, temporarily blocked the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) from enforcing its vaccine mandate for healthcare workers until the court can resolve legal challenges.

  Upholding the 1995 Jerusalem Embassy Law Act of 2021 – Rep. David Kustoff (R-TN)
• Prohibits the use of funds for any diplomatic facility in Jerusalem other than the United States Embassy to Israel

Bill to establish an independent inspector general at the CFPB – Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer (R-MO)
• Would establish an independent inspector general at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and require that person to testify before Congress
