  In the News: GOPers Urge Capitol Police Watchdog to Address Pelosi’s ‘Politicized’ Hill Security
 
  Epoch Times: 

U.S. Capitol Police (USCP) Inspector General (IG) Michael Bolton is being challenged to address what three Republican members of the House Committee on Administration describe as the “politicized campus security” of Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.).

“Since January 6th, the Majority has politicized campus security, fomenting distrust among Republicans and raising doubts among members as to the unbiased, impartial security decisions being made around the Capitol complex,” the GOP lawmakers told Bolton in a letter obtained by The Epoch Times.

  In the News: Republicans Press Inspector General to Expand Probe of Capitol Police
 
  Washington Times:

House Republicans want the inspector general for U.S. Capitol Police to expand a current probe into the agency’s alleged spying on Congress members to include potential misuse of other enhanced security measures adopted since the riot at the Capitol.

Three GOP lawmakers on Wednesday called on Inspector General Michael Bolton to also consider potential civil liberties violations in his investigation of the USCP.

  In the News: Former Obama Official Renews Criticism of Biden Over Worsening Inflation Crisis: 'Be more honest'
 
  Fox News:

Steven Rattner, a former Treasury Department official under the Obama administration, is renewing his criticism over the growing U.S. inflation crisis following President Biden's claim that the rising cost of goods was due to supply chain problems.

In a Thursday guest essay for The New York Times, Rattner added to his previous complaints about Biden's handling of the economy as he refuted the latter's "dishonest" claim, arguing that rising inflation was actually tied to shortages caused by increased demand amongst American consumers rather than the inability to get consumer goods from one place to another.
