  In the News: US Adds 431K Jobs in March Despite Inflation Fears
 
  New York Post:

US hiring remained solid in March, as employers added 431,000 jobs despite concerns over the impact of rampant inflation and tensions over the Russia-Ukraine war.

The unemployment rate fell to a fresh low of just 3.6%, down from 3.8% in February. Unemployment is approaching its level prior to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in February 2020, when the national rate hovered at 3.5%.

When the Biden administration appeals to Iran, Venezuela and Saudi Arabia for oil but rejects American and Canadian oil and gas production, there is something profoundly wrong.

Why does Joe Biden think dictators are better than Americans? Why send money to Iran instead of Oklahoma—or to Venezuela instead of Texas? If he wants to send money outside the United States, why not send money to Canada rather than Saudi Arabia?

  Rep. Loudermilk Joins Legislative Efforts to Curb Foreign Influence, Prevent Human Trafficking, and Support the Pro-Life Movement  
  Rep. Barry Loudermilk recently supported the following pieces of legislation and House Resolutions: 

H.R. 7150 - The Safeguard our Universities from Foreign Influence Act (Rep. Jim Banks, R-IN)
• Aims to curb the influence of foreign countries at American universities. As we’ve seen with a spate of arrests on campuses across the country, Universities have become ground-zero for foreign adversarial influence operations.

H.R. 608 - The Reporting Accountability and Abuse Prevention Act of 2021 (Rep. Smucker, R-PA)
• Requires recipients of family planning funding under Title X to certify that they are in compliance with state and local laws regarding human trafficking, domestic abuse, and child abuse identification and reporting.

H.J.Res. 79 - A Congressional Review Act (CRA) Resolution Expressing Disapproval of the HHS’ Abortion Surcharge (Rep. Michael Cloud. R-TX)
• Would express disapproval for the HHS’ recent final rule reversing the Trump-era Integrity Rule. Under the new HHS final rule, Affordable Care Act plans can embed an abortion surcharge in healthcare premiums.
