Rep. Loudermilk Joins Legislative Efforts to Curb Foreign Influence, Prevent Human Trafficking, and Support the Pro-Life Movement |
|
|
Rep. Barry Loudermilk recently supported the following pieces of legislation and House Resolutions:
H.R. 7150 - The Safeguard our Universities from Foreign Influence Act (Rep. Jim Banks, R-IN)
• Aims to curb the influence of foreign countries at American universities. As we’ve seen with a spate of arrests on campuses across the country, Universities have become ground-zero for foreign adversarial influence operations.
H.R. 608 - The Reporting Accountability and Abuse Prevention Act of 2021 (Rep. Smucker, R-PA)
• Requires recipients of family planning funding under Title X to certify that they are in compliance with state and local laws regarding human trafficking, domestic abuse, and child abuse identification and reporting.
H.J.Res. 79 - A Congressional Review Act (CRA) Resolution Expressing Disapproval of the HHS’ Abortion Surcharge (Rep. Michael Cloud. R-TX)
• Would express disapproval for the HHS’ recent final rule reversing the Trump-era Integrity Rule. Under the new HHS final rule, Affordable Care Act plans can embed an abortion surcharge in healthcare premiums.
