	Press Release of the Week: Kennesaw Mountain Park Expansion Signed into Law
	Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-GA) issued the following statement after President Trump signed a package of natural resources bills, S. 47, which included his Kennesaw Mountain Battlefield Park Boundary Adjustment Act, into law: “The signing of this bill marks the end of nearly a decade of legislative work, and begins an era of historic preservation at Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park. While I first introduced this legislation in 2015, my predecessor Congressman Phil Gingrey began working on this bill in 2010. The National Park Service can now acquire the historic Wallis House and Harriston Hill properties which, once restored, will greatly enhance the visitors’ experience at the park and open the door to a greater understanding of the events that took place there. I am proud to be a part of preserving a piece of our nation’s history, and I thank the countless individuals and organizations who have worked so hard to see this happen.” Read More ▸

	From Financial Regulation News: "U.S. Rep David Scott (D-GA) was named co-chair of the Congressional FinTech and Payments Caucus (CFTPC). This is Scott’s third consecutive term as co-chair. Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-GA) was named the caucus co-chair. 'Financial innovation and fintech companies have been the driving force for progress over the past decade, improving services while empowering consumers to take control of their financial futures,” Scott said. “I am excited to work together with Congressman Loudermilk to ensure FinTech companies around America serve the needs of consumers and remain competitive on the world stage.' 	In the News: Bill expanding Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park signed into law by President Trump
	From the Marietta Daily Journal: "Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park just got a bit bigger. Legislation that adds about eight acres to the park was signed into law by President Donald Trump on Tuesday. The expansion of the park will include the historic Wallis House and Harriston Hill. The eight acres, owned by Cobb County and the Cobb Land Trust, is expected to be donated to the National Park Service. The additions would not be contiguous to the existing park boundaries but would be a detached unit of the main park." Read More ▸
