Washington,
September 25, 2015
Washington D.C. (September 25, 2015) | Rep. Loudermilk (R-GA) issued the following statement today concerning Speaker Boehner’s resignation from the 114th Congress:
“Speaker Boehner announced today his intentions to resign at the end of October. As I stated throughout my campaign, we need strong conservative leadership – not just new leadership. Speaker Boehner is a good man, and I appreciate his many years of service and longtime commitment to our party and the Republican cause. His decision to step down was a classy move that took a lot of courage. “Now is the time to focus on electing a leader who can boldly articulate our principles, unite our party, and help make our nation a better place for our children and grandchildren. I look forward to working with my colleagues to build a new leadership team that brings renewed vision to America.” |
